The ultimate buttery, cheesy, delicious sandwich that kids (and adults) will love
In a small bowl, cream butter and mayonnaise (I like to use olive oil based butter and olive oil based mayo - both spread more easily then their traditional counterparts!).
Spread butter/mayo mixture onto both sides of both pieces of bread.
Heat a large pan over low-medium, add bread to pan. Cook on first side for ~2-3 minutes or until bread begins to crisp and brown.
Flip bread slices over - layer both browned sides of bread with cheese (alternating provolone and American. Cover and cook for ~1-2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
Uncover pan, sandwich bread together and allow to cook for an additional minute on each side - or until sandwich has reached desired crispness. Enjoy with a warm bowl of Healthy Tomato Bisque (or if you are me - ketchup).
Storage: Best enjoyed right away.
